THE FURTHEST AWAY TO FURTHER EDUCATION

Nick Oliver from Melbourne in Australia has completed 16,000 kilometres (as the crow flies) for the journey to a software training course. His employer sent him directly to the software manufacturer in Germany.

In Leipzig, an extension to the Smallworld geoinformation system of the American General Electric Company (GE) is build. “With our extension »Gas Distribution Office« (GDO), gas network operators all over the world manage their facilities”, Dr. Stephan Knoblauch from GEOMAGIC explains the reason for the world trip.

His widely-travelled student Nick Oliver is an experienced software trainer himself. He will now pass on the knowledge acquired over three days in Leipzig to his Australian colleagues and the customers of his employer we-do-IT. Perhaps together with a first-hand travel recommendation: “I love it!” is the summary of his visit to Leipzig.
